Our History

Julie, principle owner, is a graduate of Fanshawe College Design Program.  For over 25 years Julie has been working with homeowners and builders to find solutions for their present and future lifestyle needs.

Julie is married to Tom Field and together with their two daughters live on the family dairy farm located half way between Strathroy and Glencoe. Working out of a home office this central location has enabled Julie to work on projects in a wide-six-county area surrounding London, Sarnia and Chatham.

Field Design has a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) and is able to complete construction drawing required to apply for permit at your local municipal office.

What is this and why is it so important?
This is a law that came into effect in 2005 which dictates that all designers are required to pass Ontario Building Code exams. Once you have passed you are issued a Building Code Identification Number or BCIN.  This means that you are registered with the Ministry of Housing and have professional liability insurance.

Field Design is also a Member of the Strathroy District Chamber of Commerce.
